Stitches

Cody got his first stitches (8 of them!) on Saturday after cutting himself on a broken glass in our backyard. Apparently Corbin had broken the glass the day before and told me but I guess I wasn't listening. Cody cut right across the back of his ankle and just barely nicked his achilles tendon (phew!). So I was at a play on Saturday and it happened when the babysitter was here. I didn't hear my phone vibrating because I was standing in the back with Colton, so I got her messages about 30 minutes after it happened. So I came home and my neighbor and I decided he needed to go in. So my gracious neighbor watched Colton and Corbin while I took Cody in. Cody did so good. When they first called us back he told the doctor he needed a shot to fix his owie. He only cried when they were numbing it. When they were doing the stitiches he just said "you're hurting my leg." and "I'm done. That's enough." I asked him if he wanted to get ice cream after and he said "I just want to go to my house." They all thought he was cute and so talkative. The doctor said he didn't seem like the couch potato type and he was sure I would have many more trips to the hospital. He hobbled around the next morning, but it hasn't slowed him down since then.

Our Annual Bear Lake Trip

Every year we camp at Bear Lake for 3 or 4 days with Russ' family. I was a little nervous about camping and being on the beach everyday with a two month old, but it turned out just fine. Aside from the hoards of mosquitos, it was great. Corbin and Cody had a ball. It was the first time in two years that all the cousins have been together, so that was cool. As always, I took lots of pictures and I have such a hard time deciding which ones to post, so here ya go . . .

Colton liked his play tent for about 10 minutes at a time

Cody could play in the sand and the water all day everyday!

Mutton Bustin'

Corbin is a real cowboy! Corbin drew out for the sheep riding event in the Fiesta Days Rodeo. It is really quite fun to watch all the little kids try to stay on the sheep. It's kind of one of those sad but funny things. Corbin was one of the top three (out of 25) - he did awesome! He wasn't quite sure if he liked it when he fell off, but said he will probably try it again next year.

Maxwell Family Reunion

We recently had a super fun reunion with my dad's side of the family. It has been almost 10 years since we were all together. It was great!! My sister did the majority of the planning and what a great job she did. I think everyone had fun. My grandma had four of her children there, 19 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren - when you add in spouses there was a total of 76 people! From the pics you can see that we did alot of fun activites. It was so good to see everyone! I can't wait for the next one!

My family, everyone except my niece Haley.

I'm a Blogger!

So I actually set up this blog several months ago when my friend told me of her friend that had a blog called "My Three Sons" and she thought I should do the same thing. So I started it, but never really started it. So here it is - only I decided its not just about my three sons, its about all of us and all the fun that comes with raising boys (and yes, I do have four boys, but at least one of them can take care of himself - most of the time). So hopefully you will enjoy reading whats going on in our lives and hopefully this will be a good way for me to get everything recorded before they get too old and too much time passes for me to remember all the good stuff.

By the way, you probably will not see very many pictures of me on here, since I am the one who is always taking the pictures - oh well. Enjoy!
