I'm a good mom, right?

Things that I do to make me feel like I am a good mom (and hopefully my kids really do have a little fun, too):

#1 Payson Onion Days for games, prizes and face painting (all for free).

#2 Visiting our beekeeper friends to see where honey comes from (Thanks Jessica and Stan!)

#3  Picking raspberries and making it into jam (this makes me a good wife too, because I do not care dor raspberry jam, but my husband loves it):
In the end we ended up with 8lbs of raspberries and I paid a little extra because I think we had at least one pound in our tummies.

#4  Taking my kids on picnics where we can also feed the ducks.

#5 Letting my kids play with creepy crawly things (you can find out more in this post)

#6  Hooking my kids up with the coolest pairs of socks for mismatched sock day.

And this was just September.  Making my kids happy makes me happy.  I do love being a mom.

How Sweet It Is

I have been saving this post because I was planning to think of some really creative and cool analogy about how life is like picking berries or something.

But every time I sit down to do a post, it is generally late and dark and close to my bedtime, so my brain quits functioning on any creative level.
So this is it: Life is sweet and so are fresh-picked raspberries, you should take some time to enjoy both.
An evening spent outdoors, 3 happy kids, only $10 of raspberries turned into 9 jars of jam and plenty left to eat and share with friends . . . Life truly is sweet.
