So Saturday morning I picked up my mom from the airport - yes, she came just for my birthday (and as a bonus she got to see her grandkids). We hung out for a bit and that afternoon I got to take a nap with my husband. Heaven! After that, Grandma stayed with the kiddos and Russ and I went to the movie. Colton is refusing to take a bottle (another story) so we came home, fed the little rugrat and then headed back out for dinner. We ate dinner at an Indian restaurant called Bombay house. It was so yummy, but it made us really miss our friends who just moved to Seattle (he used to cook us the BEST Indian food). When we got home all the boys were actually in bed AND asleep! Yeah!
On Monday (my actual birthday), Russ watched the boys while my mom and I went shopping and to lunch. It's always nice to have Mom around to pay for things. :) Shopping for what I want is always the best birthday present! So that was really fun. We went back to get Colton and head to the airport and I had a little surprise from my boys. They are so awesome! Corbin made this cool banner and he wrote it all by himself!
That night after I took my mom back to the airport, we had dinner with Russ' parents - almost all food from their garden. Spaghetti squash, watermelon, cantalope, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots, and more that I'm probably forgetting. Yum.
And that's not all! The celebration continued on Tuesday. Stayed tuned and prepare for the mouth watering that will occur . . .

Happy Birthday Mindy. It sounds like you had a great birthday week. Welcome to 30.
Happy be-lated birthday!! How perfect that your 30th b-day went so well and you had such a great time.
BTW, I love Cody's little crescent moon eyes when he smiles - soooo darling! And I actually had a dream about Corbin last night. (I know. Weird.) He was a teenager and he was not very nice, and I kept thinking, "No, this is not Corbin. He is a sweet little boy, not a rude teenager." Yeah, bizarre. :)
I wish I had been with you to celebrate...oh, well...we'll have our chance this winter I hope. I love you, miss you, and am so proud of you, little sister. You are smart, funny, a wonderful mother and a supportive, encouraging sister. What more could I ask for? I love you!
I am glad to hear you had a great 30th birthday! I hope mine goes just as great guess we'll see come december. Your kids are so adorable and thoughtful.
