It's all about love: doing what I love while raising those I love and teaching them to share the love.
12 Days of Thanks&Giving: What this is all about
Mindy
In counting down "The 12 days of Thanksgiving" I would like to share some of the things that I am supremely thankful for and the blessing that I enjoy everyday in my life. And since the spirit of giving abounds this time of year, and to inspire us to act on our feelings of gratitude, I will share stories of people giving to those in need and changing lives of those less fortunate. This is not to make us feel guilty for what we have, but to make us see how we are blessed and think about what is expected of us because we have so much. Please leave comments and share your stories or your thoughts.
Happy Season of Giving!
Firefighter/Paramedic, loves fishing, hunting, backpacking, and anything outdoors. Totally has a green thumb and is a way better cook than me (because he actually likes it.) He has recently taken to making homemade bread weekly. He also loves playing in the stock market, or day trading, or whatever you call it. Oh, and I love him!
Corbin Matthew - age 6
loves reading! swimming, legos, playing with friends, and first grade! says he likes hard work, is a great singer, helpful with his brothers and definitely the peacemaker of the family, loves to go see plays with his mom :)
Cody Lee - age 3
loves to play games on the computer, play with his friends, and cannot play outside without getting wet and muddy, makes us laugh constantly with his stories and his perception of the world, likes looking at maps or anything that could be a map, wants to do all the things his big brother does
Colton Doyle - 18 months
is still attached to his binky, loves going outside, wrestling with Dad and brothers, attempts to get a horsey ride from anyone who appears to be in position - including babies crawling around on the floor, laughs when playing hide and seek or playing "I'll throw it down and you pick it up over and over", doesn't really say any comprehensible words, but talks all the time
Corbin was very proud to have a fireman for a daddy after all the accolades he recieved from his classmates. Russ went to visit Corbin's class and talk to them about fire safety, etc. And I snuck in to watch - I kinda like seeing him all dressed up, too. :)

Okay, that IS pretty cool! I don't know that I've ever seen the whole get-up with the helmet. Corbin is lucky that Russ could go to his class!
