Twas the night before the night before

When I was a kid, we had a tradition of sleeping under the Christmas tree the night before Christmas Eve.  And I was so excited to start this with my kids this year!  Last year Cody was still too young and Corbin didn't really want to do it by himself, but now it's begun!  We had a great night of cuddling and reading Christmas stories and eating Egg Nog ice cream sandwiches (that may be a new part of the tradition).  And I was quite surprised that once we settled down, the boys didn't really have any trouble going to sleep (or maybe that's because it was already an hour past bedtime).  I love these little angels!

so fun! we love that tradition, too. and, yes, we realize that if we keep our kids up a little later than usual, they go to bed pretty well. :)

yeah for sleeping under the tree!

So cool!
So growing up I didn't have sibs to do things like this with... Noel and I were just too far apart. A friend who has 4 sisters told me how they did this every Christmas... making a big bed on the floor! I nearly cried when I thought how much fun that would be! We can't do in front of the tree since our floors are concrete, but all the kiddos, even Cora all slept in Addie's room! They were up for forever! But, it was fun!
:-D I am so glad my kids have brothers and sisters... what a gift!
