Nine months and counting

No, not the nine months you were thinking . . . Colton is nine months old. Yippee! He is crawling, pulling up on furniture and loves to let go of your hands and try to stand on his own. He wakes up every morning and starts looking for his brothers. He is getting his two front teeth right now and it is NOT FUN, for him or mom. He does like baby food, but will eat anything else that is fun to crunch, squish or play with. He finally takes a bottle!!! Hallelujah!! (For those of you that know me, I breast feed because I believe in it, not because I like it.) Colton was my first baby that refused to take a bottle, and I did not know how to handle it. So now he is still breastfeeding, but atleast I can feel the wisp of freedom on the horizon. Colton absolutely LOVES the bath. If I walk into the bathroom with him and then walk out again, he gets very upset because he thought he was going to to have bathtime. Too bad he also has horrendous excema just like my other boys, so the doctor's recommendation is as few baths as possible. Poor kid. He still takes two naps a day and goes to bed without a fuss, unlike his brothers. His official stats from the doctor's visit were: 18lbs 4oz and 28 1/2 inches. He is in the 90th percentile for his height and now only in the 50th for his weight. I swear he said his first word, although it could just be a kind of lipsmacking sound, but I was changing his diaper and I swear he said "poop". It wouldn't surprise me if that was his first word since with all the boys in our house that is a very frequent word that comes up in any and all conversations. Nine months has gone by super fast and as spring and summer come, I'm sure the months will go by even faster. I just try to love the small moments and hopefully not forget all the good times. Oh how I love all my boys!
